Sponsus, (https://sponsus.org/) and its network of websites, is not yet, but is in the process of becoming, an employee-owned cooperative based in the United Kingdom. The terms of “We”, “Our”, “Us”, or any other self-referential words refer to Sponsus, the Sponsus Team, and its collectively offered services. By accessing Sponsus or any of its services, you consent to abide by these Terms of Service as written, in addition to any Community Guidelines set up by Sponsus. If you do not consent to abide by these Terms, do not use the services Sponsus provides.
Sponsus does not endorse any content on our platform, unless explicitly stated otherwise in these Terms or other Official Policies. We reserve the right to make changes to these Terms at any point. Continued usage of Sponsus after any changes to these Terms or other Official Policy means you consent to these updates.
In order to open an account, you will be asked to provide us with certain information such as an account name, email and password. Registering for an account requires the user to be of thirteen (13) years of age or older.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, for restricting access to your computer, and for all activities that occur under your account or password. Please make sure the information you provide to Sponsus upon registration and at all other times is true, accurate, current, and complete to the best of your knowledge.
Unless expressly permitted in writing by Sponsus or the Sponsus Team, you may not sell, rent, lease, share or provide access to your account to anyone else, including without limitation charging anyone for access to administrative rights on your account. Sponsus reserves all available legal rights and remedies to prevent unauthorized use of the Sponsus services, including, but not limited to, technological barriers, IP mapping, and, in serious cases, directly contacting your Internet Service Provider (ISP) regarding such unauthorized use.
If, for any reason, you suspect that your account has been compromised (e.g., in the event of a loss, theft or unauthorized disclosure or use of your account or password), contact Support immediately.
Sponsus reserves the right to terminate your account for any reason, especially for and including the violation of these Terms of Service or any other Official Policy.
Content is Uploaded at Your Own Risk
Sponsus uses reasonable security measures in order to attempt to protect User Content against unauthorized copying and distribution. However, Sponsus does not guarantee that any unauthorized copying, use or distribution of User Content by third parties will not take place. To the furthest extent permitted by applicable law, you hereby agree that Sponsus shall not be liable for any unauthorized copying, use or distribution of User Content by third parties and release and forever waive any claims you may have against Sponsus for any such unauthorized copying or usage of the User Content, under any theory. THE SECURITY MEASURES TO PROTECT USER CONTENT USED BY SPONSUS HEREIN ARE PROVIDED AND USED “AS-IS” AND WITH NO WARRANTIES, GUARANTEES, CONDITIONS, ASSURANCES OR OTHER TERMS THAT SUCH SECURITY MEASURES WILL WITHSTAND ATTEMPTS TO EVADE SECURITY MECHANISMS OR THAT THERE WILL BE NO CRACKS, DISABLEMENTS OR OTHER CIRCUMVENTION OF SUCH SECURITY MEASURES.
Sponsus recognizes that its users desire a certain modicum of creative freedom, and respects the concept of Fair Use or Fair Dealing, and will adhere to United Kingdom law regarding such, including The Copyright and Rights in Performances (Quotation and Parody) Regulations 2014 No. 2356.
Sponsus takes no responsibility and assumes no liability for any User Content or for any loss or damage resulting therefrom, nor is Sponsus liable for any mistakes, defamation, slander, libel, omissions, falsehoods, obscenity, pornography or profanity you may encounter when using Sponsus. Your use of the Sponsus services is at your own risk. In addition, these rules do not create any private right of action on the part of any third party or any reasonable expectation that the Sponsus services will not contain any content that is prohibited by such.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sponsus, its affiliated companies, contractors, employees, agents and its third-party suppliers, licensors, and partners from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, including legal fees and expenses, arising out of your use or misuse of the Sponsus services, any User Content you post, store or otherwise transmit in or through the Sponsus services, your violation of the rights of any third party, any violation by you of these Terms of Service, or any breach of the representations, warranties, and covenants made by you herein. Sponsus reserves the right, at your expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter for which you are required to indemnify Sponsus, and you agree to cooperate with Sponsus’s defense of these claims. Sponsus will use reasonable efforts to notify you of any such claim, action, or proceeding upon becoming aware of it. The foregoing indemnity includes, without limitation, any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, including legal fees and expenses, arising out of your User Content.
As a Sponsus Content Creator
You can begin posting your User Content as soon as your account is created. Your income from supporters will be processed at the beginning of the upcoming month. Sponsus will deduct a seven (7) percent + 30 cents (per sponsor) fee from this income.

As a Sponsus Subscriber
You can subscribe to any Content Creator of your choosing as soon as your account is created. You will be charged at the beginning of the upcoming month, and will not see content until then. This is only circumvented if you consent to being charged at the time of subscription in order to view the User Content immediately. You may unsubscribe from any content creator at any time.

The law of the United Kingdom governs the Terms and other Official Policies. If a valid legal case arises, both parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts located in London, United Kingdom.
In the event that any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, then that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect. Sponsus’ failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
